When ABC’s Revenge returns for Season 4 on Sunday, September 28, viewers can expect to see some new faces causing trouble in the faux Hamptons. Brian Hallisay, of The Client List and Mistresses, has joined the cast as Ben, a local cop (on the Hamptons Police Department, no doubt) and friend of Jack. Could he be yet another obstacle on the way to Emily and Jack finally declaring their love? Let’s not forget what happened to Emily’s last love interest…
Elena Satine, who viewers may recognize as Asgardian sorceress Lorelei on ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., will also appear on Revenge. Her character, Louise, is an unhinged southern belle/black sheep who has a secret connection to someone else on the show. Any ideas? While we’re getting a little tired of the show’s reliance on nutjobs to drive story—Patrick wore out his welcome once he started killing people weekly—seeing another strong villainess go up against Emily and possibly Victoria should be fun!
See Hallisay in action, and on the other side of the law, starring opposite his wife and mother of his child, Jennifer Love Hewitt, in the below clip from Lifetime’s The Client List.
Both new characters are set to have pivotal recurring roles this season. Last year, Karine Vanasse was promoted from recurring character to series regular as French publishing maven Margaux LeMarchal. James Tupper, who has appeared in flashbacks as David Clarke since the series began, will also be a featured regular this year, for reasons that should be clear to anyone who watched and/or read our recap of the Season 3 finale.
Still in question is the status of Henry Czerny, who has starred as Conrad Grayson since Revenge‘s first season. Viewers may or may not have witnessed the character’s ultimate fate in the season finale, but as the show has taught us, nothing is ever as it seems in the Hamptons. Barry Sloane, meanwhile, is officially done as Aiden, who—SPOILER ALERT!—was last seen “propped up” in Emily’s living room.
Revenge returns Sunday, September 28, at 10 p.m. on ABC. Make sure to check out DansPapers.com on Monday, September 29, for the return of our weekly recaps!
