Harbor Pet Donates $500 to the North Fork Animal Welfare League
Greenport’s pet boutique, Harbor Pet, donated $500 to the North Fork Animal Welfare League as part of its Grand Re-Opening Celebration last weekend.
Harbor Pet is a pet boutique that offers pet owners a lavish and unique selection of pet toys, clothing, top quality food and supplies for dog and cat owners. Grooming services are also available by appointment.
Last weekend, the reopening of Harbor Pet under new ownership was celebrated by pet owners from accross Long Island. Pups up for adoption greeted customers, a pet portrait artist hand drew pictures of dogs, and the event featured a Yappy Hour with giveaways and refreshments.
Along with the giveaways and raffle basket worth over $100 in pet products, new owner Kimberly Loper donated $500 of the proceeds from the weekend sales to the North Fork Animal Welfare League.
“We are so happy to give back to the pet community here on the North Fork of Long Island,” says Loper. “And as the owner of 2 rescue dogs myself – I am so happy we had adoptable dogs from NFWAL here on Friday with us to celebrate and that we can donate to the shelter as well. We will be doing more events with NFWAL in the future and also additional fun and educational events for pet owners to attend and look forward to continuing to working with our NoFo pet professionals more and more. We are all in this together and it’s so wonderful to work with our community pet experts.”
Shoppers can now visit Harbor Pet at 25 Front Street in Greenport.
