Sagaponack's Jimmy Fallon Takes Home Emmy for 'SNL'
Tonight Show host and Sagaponack resident Jimmy Fallon won an Emmy Monday night in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series category for his December 2013 turn at hosting Saturday Night Live.
It was the former SNL cast member’s second time hosting along with musical guest Justin Timberlake.
The episode reprised the Wrappingville sketch with new Christmas-wrapping-paper-themed song parodies and it included a music video, in which Fallon raps, named “(Do It on My) Twin Bed.” Timberlake and Fallon also brought back the Barry Gibb Talk Show, and Timberlake impersonated Fallon as the host of Family Fued while Fallon impersonated Big Bang Theory actor Jim Parsons.
Fallon also took to the stage when Stephen Colbert‘s The Colbert Report won for Outstanding Variety Series. Fallon—jokingly—insisted there must have been some sort of mistake.
In 2015, Colbert and Fallon will face off in the 11:30 time slot when Colbert takes the reins of The Late Show from David Letterman, who is retiring.
