Babies, Birthdays, Benefits for Scarlett Johansson, Beyoncé and Others

Congratulations, Scarlett Johansson! The Amagansett resident and her fiancé, Romain Dauriac, welcomed their first child last week. Dorothy Rose was born in New York City, and she and her mom are reportedly doing well.

Hamptons regular Beyoncé also had a birthday last week, and celebrated turning 33 with husband Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy while on vacation in Italy (why not at The Sandcastle, guys?).

And happy birthday, Cameron Diaz! The actress celebrated turning 42 with a private party in the Hamptons, where guests included Drew Barrymore, Benji Madden of Good Charlotte, Rashida Jones, Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Paltrow—Amagansett’s Oscar- and Emmy-winning actress—also joined Jimmy Kimmel for her first-ever appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The two shared their mutual love for wood-fire ovens, pickling, Huey Lewis and raising money for Stand Up To Cancer. Paltrow served as a co-executive producer on the charity’s fundraiser/television special, which aired on more than 30 television networks last Friday. The event’s co-founder, East Hampton’s Katie Couric, also attended the fundraiser, held in Hollywood. Celebrities who came out for the cause included Reese Witherspoon, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Kevin Bacon and others.

“Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon” players rejoiced.
