Howard Lutnick just couldn’t break down Southampton Town’s defense.
A federal judge Tuesday tossed out the Cantor Fitzgerald CEO’s lawsuit that charged Southampton Town municipal boards violated his rights by telling him he couldn’t add a basketball court to his 40-acre Bridgehampton estate, the New York Post reports. Lutnick sought $36 million in damages.
Through this lawsuit did not make it to the hoop, Lutnick s still dribbling an $80 million case lashing out at the town for telling him he needs to remove a baseball field, hedge and jungle gym if he wants to erect a barn, according to the Post.
Lutnick purchased the property in 2003 for $15 million.
