A new Shake Shack has opened at East 40th Street and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan, and a drink on its menu honors the Hampton Jitney that stops at that intersection.
Each Shake Shack offers signature “concretes,” which are thick shakes that are exclusive to that location. At this new Midtown East shack, the “Jitney” concrete is made with vanilla custard, peanut butter sauce and a Tate’s Bake Shop chocolate chip cookie. For all Jitney concrete sales, 5% of the proceeds will be donated to Bideawee, an animal welfare and shelter nonprofit with locations in Westhampton, Manhattan and Wantagh.
