Southold's Brady Rymer Earns Second Grammy Nomination
Brady Rymer, the Southold-based recording artist, and his Little Band that Could have earned a second nomination for a Grammy from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
Rymer got the nod for his 2014 album Just Say Hi!, which he funded through Kickstarter.
Rymer will travel to the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the 57th annual Grammy Awards on February 8, 2015.
This past fall, Just Say Hi! also won Gold Awards from Parents’ Choice Foundation and the National Parenting Publications (NAPPA Awards). The songs enjoy heavy rotation on SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and the Fids and Kamily critics’ poll included it as one of the top 10 albums of 2014.
Brady was last nominated for a Grammy in 2009.
Brady Rymer and The Little Band that Could will perform at a pre-Grammys charity benefit concert featuring the nominated children’s artists in Los Angeles on February 7.
This Saturday, December 20, at 4 p.m. Brady Rymer and The Little Band that Could will perform a family holiday concert and sing-a-long at Southold High School. Admission is free. Bring new or gently used coats, hats, scarves, gloves or non-perishable food items to donate to food pantries and Maureen’s Haven.
