Makes His Tonight Show Hosting Debut
In February, Fallon had his first episode at the helm of The Tonight Show, with guests Will Smith and U2. The lead-in was the Winter Olympics.
Is Vanity Fair Cover Star
Fallon was featured on the cover of February’s issue of Vanity Fair, along with two models. In the interview, Fallon discusses his early fascination with Saturday Night Live and Lorne Michaels‘ role as a father figure. The magazine also interviewed Fallon’s former “Weekend Update” co-anchor Tina Fey.
Makes Plans to Crash WLNG with Billy Joel
In March, Billy Joel was Fallon‘s guest on The Tonight Show, and the pair of Hamptons residents made grand plans for the future. Joel announced that he will be getting his own Sirius XM satellite radio channel soon, which led Joel, of Sag Harbor, and Fallon, of Sagaponack, into a conversation about wanting to crash Sag Harbor oldies station WLNG 92.1.
Takes Home Emmy for ‘SNL’
In August, Fallon won an Emmy in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series category for his December 2013 turn at hosting Saturday Night Live. It was the former SNL cast member’s second time hosting along with musical guest Justin Timberlake. The episode reprised the Wrappingville sketch with new Christmas-wrapping-paper-themed song parodies, and the ep included a music video, in which Fallon raps, named “(Do It on My) Twin Bed.” Timberlake and Fallon also brought back the Barry Gibb Talk Show, and Timberlake impersonated Fallon as the host of Family Fued while Fallon impersonated Big Bang Theory actor Jim Parsons.
Welcomes Baby Frances Cole
Fallon and wife Nancy Juvonen dropped a baby bombshell in December—they announced the arrival of their second child, Frances Cole Fallon. The couple welcomed their first child, Winnie Rose Fallon, in July 2013.
Saved by Hamptons Tow Trucker
Local tow truck driver Elisha Osborn got the shout out of a lifetime in March when Fallon told his millions of The Tonight Show viewers that Osborn and Hammer Towing saved him from an embarrassing snafu at Peter’s Pond beach in Sagaponack. Fallon relayed the story of how he decided to do “the manly thing” and take his Range Rover—with wife and infant daughter on board—for a spin on the sand. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned.

Fallon will tell you he is a huge fan of the Netflix original series House of Cards—so it was inevitable that he would make a parody. In House of Cue Cards, Fallon channels Kevin Spacey’s Frank Underwood.
Gets Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld in the Hamptons
The final episode of the fifth season of Jerry Seinfeld‘s web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee features Fallon—and the whole episode was filmed in the Hamptons! Seinfeld takes a 1956 Corvette—reportedly from Peter Max‘s famous collection—to pick up Fallon at home in Sagaponack. They head to East Hampton and switch rides to Seinfeld’s personal 1994 Land Rover Defender, which he says he bought in Los Angeles while making Seinfeld. The Land Rover is pulling a trailer with a 13-foot Boston Whaler, which they take out on the water. After their boating excursion, the pair get back in the Corvette and head to Montauk, where they get coffee and food at John’s Pancake House in Montauk.
Is Top Choice for Celebrity Neighbor
For the second year in a row, Fallon was picked as the most desirable neighbor in the Zillow Celebrity Neighbor Survey. He earned 10% of the votes in the survey of American adults, down from 11% last year. Fallon’s popularity was higher among voters with kids (14%) than those without (8%).
Named Entertainment Weekly‘s Entertainer of the Year
Fallon was picked as Entertainment Weekly‘s Entertainer of the Year and “hosted” their Best and Worst of 2014 issue in December.
