Filmed in Montauk, 'The Affair' Takes Home Golden Globe Honors

Showtime’s The Affair, a new drama that was filmed in Montauk, won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series—Drama last night, and that’s not all.

Ruth Wilson, who plays Alison Lockhart on The Affair, beat out Claire Danes, Viola Davis, Julianna Margulies and Robin Wright for Best Actress in a Television Series—Drama.

Wilson is also known for her role as sociopath Alice Morgan on the BBC detective series Luther.

The Affair topped nominees Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, The Good Wife and House of Cards for best tv drama.
