Julianne Moore Wins Golden Globe for 'Still Alice'
Montauk’s Julianne Moore received the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture—Drama on Sunday Night for her role in Still Alice, which had its U.S. premiere at the Hamptons International Film Festival in October.
Directed by Wash Westmoreland and Richard Glatzer, the film is about a linguistics professor (Moore) who is diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. Amagansett’s Alec Baldwin plays her husband and the film also stars Kristen Stewart, Kate Bosworth and Hunter Parrish as her children.
To win the award, Moore beat out nominees Jennifer Aniston, Felicity Jones, Rosamund Pike and Reese Witherspoon.
