'March of the Leprechauns' Pub Crawl Being Planned in Riverhead

In light of the popularity of the inaugural Riverhead SantaCon—a holiday-themed pub crawl held in December—another pub crawl is being planned for downtown Riverhead, this one with a St. Patrick’s Day theme. Dubbed “March of the Leprechauns,” the event is scheduled for March 7.

By selling bracelets to each participant for $10, SantaCon raised money for The Brendan House Project and New Beginnings Community Center. During SantaCon, nine bars and restaurants participated, and the expected attendance was between 200 and 400. The actual attendance was well over 800 people.

A beneficiary for March of the Leprechauns has yet to be announced.
