Douglas Elliman Real Estate announced Tuesday that Matthew Breitenbach—a leading real estate broker in the Hamptons and nationally who had been affiliated with Corcoran Group Real Estate for years—joined their firm.
His father, Stephen Breitenbach, is a luxury homebuilder and his mother, Susan Breitenbach, who he often worked in conjunction with, is a senior vice president at Corcoran with more than $2.5 billion in sales.
Breitenbach closed his first multi-million dollar deal at the age of 22, and has been involved in more than $1 billion in real estate transactions, according to Douglas Elliman.
“Matt is a powerful force in residential real estate,” Douglas Elliman Chairman Howard M. Lorber said. “He is synonymous with the Hamptons luxury real estate market and, by participating in several of the area’s most significant transactions, he represents a new generation of career professional in our industry. Matt will unquestionably be an asset to our company.”
“Matt’s drive for real estate is contagious,” Douglas Elliman President and CEO Dottie Herman said. “He is a master networker, having sold homes to many of the biggest power players in New York. We are thrilled that he is joining our team and will be capitalizing on our national and global platforms to further his already stellar career.”
Breitenbach will be based out of Douglas Elliman’s Hamptons region flagship office in Bridgehampton.
“Working closely with private equity investors and sports and entertainment celebrities, Matt will be one of the only individuals out here to grow that business, thus elevating the Elliman brand,” said Paul Brennan, the Hamptons regional manager at Douglas Elliman.
Matt has sold homes to New York’s elite, most recently being linked to real estate deals with pro athletes and hedge funders. His clientele and buyer network reaches from New York City, to Palm Beach, Aspen, LA, London and South America.
