Montauk Brewing Company Releases IPA in Cans
Summer dreaming just got a little bit easier. Montauk Brewing Company is releasing a third beer in cans, keeping with the theme of colorful, nautical offerings.
The Montauk Session India Pale Ale (ABV: 4.9%), different from the Offland IPA that has been on tap at the brewery, will available in cans and draft year-round within the next two weeks.
“We are really excited about this beer,” says Vaughan Cutillo, a co-founder of the brewery. “Our Driftwood Ale is a nice malty beer, so we wanted to add variety to our offerings and this beer is perfect for just that. We used three varieties of hops, and also dry hopped the beer for seven days after fermentation to give it a nice spicy, citrusy aroma. The Montauk Session can keeps the nautical flag theme and simple, clean design.”
The Session IPA joins the flagship Driftwood Ale and Summer Ale as the three beers to be offered in cans this summer. The release is another development in what is shaping up to be an exciting 2015 for Montauk Brewing Company, who recently announced that they’ll begin brewing beer on-site this winter.
