Revenge Season 5? ABC President Says Show's Not Over Yet
The Hamptons-set primetime soap Revenge has suffered from consistently declining ratings since Season 4 debuted back in September, but Revenge Season 5 may still be in the cards. Speaking to TVLine.com, ABC President Paul Lee said, “I’ve always loved this show, and it’s actually a critical brand for us.”
The show—which has been on shaky creative ground since the exit of creator Mike Kelley at the end of Season 2—recently wrapped up most of its long-running story arcs, including main character Emily Thorne’s (Emily VanCamp) quest to avenge her father. “We have some great storylines coming up…and there are ways to reinvent it, too,” Lee said. With only one Grayson left—the rest of the family is dead or M.I.A.—the show’s various new characters, like kooky Southern belle Louise Ellis (Elena Satine) and earnest cop Ben Hunter (Brian Hallisay), will likely drive story for the rest of the season.
