Alec Baldwin to Star Opposite Laurie Metcalf in 'All My Sons' at Guild Hall
Amagansett’s Alec Baldwin will return to the John Drew Theater stage in East Hampton this summer.
John Drew Theater at Guild Hall is putting on Arthur Miller’s All My Sons in June co-starring Baldwin and Laurie Metcalf. The Tony-winning 1947 play is about a couple whose son went missing in World War II and their surviving son, who wants to marry his late brother’s fiancée.
Baldwin last starred in a play at Guild Hall in 2010, when he was Dr. Dysart in Peter Shaffer‘s Equus.
Metcalf is best known for playing the titular character’s sister in the television series Roseanne and other notable credits include the voice of Andy’s mom in the Toy Story films and doctor Jenny Jones in HBO’s Getting On.
Stephen Hamilton directs. The play is produced by Guild Hall in association with Roy Furman and Ellen Myers.
Baldwin has also revealed his will play the mayor of New York City in a new HBO series.
All My Sons will run from June 9 through 28, Tuesdays through Sundays. Previews are June 9-12 and the official opening night is Saturday, June 13. Tickets range from $38 to $150.
