There are so many new sources of culinary pleasure on the East End! Wölffer Kitchen opens in the former Cuddy space next month in Sag Harbor. Circo has replaced the Delmonico’s space in Southampton. Momi Ramen has taken over the former Turtle Crossing in East Hampton. And…if you’re nice, you might eat on the second floor of Bridgehampton icon Pierre’s. Upstairs @ Pierre’s is a private rental space for entertaining, available to Pierre’s regulars.
LA FONDITA in Amagansett has extended its hours for the summer season and is serving daily beginning at 11:30 a.m. Classic favorites include: nachos supremo—tortilla chips layered with cheese, refried beans, choice of meat, pico de gallo and crema; ensalada Fondita, a chopped salad of iceberg lettuce, pico de gallo, red peppers, jalapeño, onions, cilantro, jicama, radish, avocado and tortilla chips ($8); tacos de camarones—two shrimp tacos with sliced red peppers, jalapeño, cilantro, onion and avocado; carne asada torta, a Portuguese roll with refried beans, grilled skirt steak, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, avocado, pickled jalapeño and crema; and sopa de tortilla—chicken broth, tomato and tortilla soup topped with avocado crema and queso fresco. 631-267-8800, lafondita.net
HARLOW EAST in Sag Harbor is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Menu items, subject to change, include: lobster sliders— Montauk lobster, three pan-seared buns and Kewpie mayonnaise; lamb meatballs, Tullamore Farms ground lamb with kochujang marinara and mint; boquerones—marinated Spanish anchovies, piquillo pepper and Meyer lemon; branzino with wasabi stem gremolata and crispy hearts of palm; halibut with spicy miso glaze, vegetables and hijiki soy vinaigrette; chicken paillard—Amish chicken breast, chimichurri and Goodwater Farms microgreens; and filet mignon— Australian Wagyu, galbi demi glace and scallion salad.
