Sir Ivan Appears in 'New Money' Premiere on E!
Millionaire recording artist, philanthropist, Water Mill castle lord and superhero, Sir Ivan [Wilzig] is appearing in the premiere episode of E!’s unscripted television series New Money this Friday, May 29 at 10:30 p.m., following The Soup.
Described by E! as exploring the “lavish, over-the-top lifestyles of new millionaires” and “examining how people with more money than God have chosen to spend their new found fortunes,”New Money is clearly banking on the eccentricities of its subjects. Part of the “New Techno Money” segment of the show, Sir Ivan, of course, has eccentricity in spades—and why not? Known for creating two superhero alter egos—Mr. Mitzvah, a gold-clad hero with night vision, super strength, a Star of David paddle and a weakness against non-kosher foods; and Peaceman, his current super-philanthropist character and his foundation‘s namesake—Sir Ivan lives in a castle, secret passages, dungeon and all, and has hosted some of the most lavish bacchanals the Hamptons has ever seen.
Sounds made for television, right? He’s already appeared on numerous shows, including Stan Lee’s Who Wants to be a Superhero?, Epic Homes on the Travel Channel, VH1’s The Fabulous Life of the Hamptons, Chef Roble & Co. on Bravo and Super Heroes in 3D TV on 3Net.
E! explains, “Though these millionaires may be loaded, viewers will quickly learn that money can’t buy you taste as they meet new fat cats in each episode and see just how they spend their endless funds.” Along with Sir Ivan’s “New Techno Money” segment, showing how a former banker became a techno musician, New Money’s premiere episode looks at “New ‘Boy Toy’ Money,” a model and businessman, and “New Gambling Money,” a former pageant queen-turned gambler extraordinaire.
“With money to spare, viewers will catch these three millionaires toss money around like water, spending it on everything from custom cars, excessive plastic surgery, to expensive family photo shoots,” E! continues.
New Money is produced by Leftfield Pictures with executive producers Brent Montgomery, David George, Jordana Hochman and Sean David Johnson. Watch the trailer below.
