'Primates of Park Avenue' Author Wednesday Martin to Speak at CMEE
Wednesday Martin, the author of Primates of Park Avenue, an upcoming anthropological exposé of the hidden culture of the Upper East Side, is coming to Bridgehampton Saturday, June 20, to speak at the Children’s Museum of the East End.
Martin will be attending the CMEE Author’s Night to celebrate the release of her memoir.
Martin worked as a writer and social researcher while living in nearly every neighborhood in New York City throughout her career. In an effort to fit into an elite social microcosm of the Upper East Side, she stumbled upon an astonishingly interesting subculture, which she decided to write a tell-all about. All are welcome to join Martin at CMEE to celebrate Primates of Park Avenue. Guests will enjoy complimentary cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a short reading by Martin. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Proceeds will benefit CMEE’s Head Start program.
CMEE Author’s Night begins at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 20. For more information and to RSVP contact Lara Sweeney by calling 631-537-8250 extension 212 or emailing Lara@CMEE.org.
The Children’s Museum of the East End is located at 376 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton.
