Susan Lucci Lists Oceanfront Hamptons Home In Quogue For $19.995M
Longtime Queen of Daytime TV, Susan Lucci, has put her palatial oceanfront Hamptons home, styled as ‘Four Winds,’ on the market. We spoke to listing agent Enzo Morabito, of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, to find out what makes this slice of Hamptons real estate so special.
“First, its location, location, location. ‘Four Winds’ is located on one of the most desirable stretches of Dune Road in Quogue — between the bridges,” Morabito exclusively tells DansPapers.com. A covered porch on the second floor of the home, with many nods to nautical design, overlooks Quogue Canal.
“Second, it’s the sheer beauty and elegance of this majestic beach home,” he continued. “Ms. Lucci and her husband, Helmut Huber, were there every step of the way when the 10,622 sq. ft. Shingle-style beach home was designed by famed Hamptons architect Eugene Futterman and built in 1989. Mr. Futterman was assisted by Hamptons architects Peter Cook and Eric Woodward.”
The home boasts 7-bedrooms and 7-bathrooms, a heated gunite swimming pool, as well as numerous decks and balconies to take advantage of the spectacular views while entertaining. The two-story living room has a fireplace with ocean views and the two-story turreted library has built-in seating and wood paneling. A billiards room with bar, media room, and “widow’s walk” above the living room round out the living spaces.
Morabito tells us that, “For someone like Ms. Lucci, who cherishes her privacy and rare time off from her heavy filming schedule, the property offers 1.4 acres and 160 feet of ocean frontage. She said one of her favorite things to do is walk down to the beach with a cup of morning coffee in her hand.”
In addition to their Garden City, NY home, close to filming in NYC for Lucci, the Hamptons home is part of the Huber/Lucci love story which has spanned over four decades. “This home was built by a couple who has been in love for decades and brought up their children there. The home has been the location for many parties for friends and family and also charity events. Simply put, it’s one of the most special properties I have ever had the privilege of selling.”
