A Day in the Hamptons Life of Katie Lee
Southampton resident, co-host of The Kitchen on the Food Network, author of the new Endless Summer Cookbook, and this year’s co-host of Dan’s Taste of Two Forks, Katie Lee knows all the ins and outs of Hamptons living. From working out to eating out and shopping, here’s how anyone can spend a day like the charming culinary personality.
Katie Lee loves to eat local. To live it up like Lee start the day by visiting a local farmstand—like The Green Thumb in Water Mill, The Seafood Shop in Wainscott and North Sea Farms in Southampton for chicken. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, slide into a wetsuit like Katie has been known to do and pull in some oysters in Montauk!
This Southern Belle loves Italian. So much so that she has a pizza oven, where she no doubt tests recipes for her new cookbook, and is a regular at Dan’s Taste of Two Forks participating restaurant Tutto Il Giorno in Sag Harbor.
Shop like Katie at Calypso St. Barth and London Jewelers in Southampton, Scoop Beach in East Hampton. When it’s time for a cool treat we heard that Katie likes Scoop du Jour for ice cream.
When it comes to staying in shape, we hear Ms. Lee heads for high-intensity workouts at Tracy Anderson Method, Barry’s Bootcamp and SoulCycle to maintains that fab physique and bikini-ready bod! Enjoying the East End is up on her priority list. And, what’s not to love? Play like Katie by surfing or horseback riding at Deep Hollow Ranch in Montauk.

When it’s time to relax and unwind Katie gets together at home with friends like designer Nate Berkus, a BFF who designed her home, animal advocate and author Beth Stern, and fellow co-host on The Kitchen, Geoffrey Zakarian. We’d love to be there for the party when Katie raises a glass to Geoffrey for he’s the first Dan’s Taste of Summer triple-crown winner, meaning that he’s hosted GrillHampton, Taste of Two Forks, and is this year’s first celebrity host of Harvest East End. We’d like to score an invite to that house party!
It is clear that East End gal-about-town Katie Lee knows where to go, what to do, where to stay, and where to play in the Hamptons. If you can’t catch her at Tutto Il Giornio or any of the other favorite spots, you can catch her and the Sag Harbor restaurant’s chef Maurizio Marfoglia on July 18 in Bridgehampton for Dan’s Taste of Two Forks just be prepared to share a secret recipe for her next cookbook.
Hey y’all! Horsin’ around on the beach in #Montauk
