East Hampton Police: Hamptons Cocaine Distributors Busted
The East Hampton Town Police Department and Suffolk County district attorney’s office announced Wednesday the arrest of two men they say are responsible for distributing cocaine across town.
Juan P. Porras, 48, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, after police say he was found with 6 ounces of cocaine during a traffic stop on Route 114 Wednesday. He was additionally charged with first-, second- and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, all felonies, as part of an ongoing investigation into cocaine distribution, police say.
A passenger in Porras’s vehicle, Jose Jaime Restrepo-Perez, 41, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. and first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Both men were scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
