Hamptons Celebs Enjoy July 4 Week

Another busy July 4 weekend on the East End: Southampton resident Beth Ostrosky Stern attended an opening party for the What Goes Around Comes Around boutique in East Hampton.

Congratulations, Billy Joel! The South Fork’s favorite Piano Man married Alexis Roderick during a Fourth of July party at Joel’s Center Island estate. Gov. Andrew Cuomo officiated. The newlyweds, together since 2009, are expecting a child later this summer. Joel’s famous first wife, Hamptons resident Christie Brinkley, posted a wedding picture of the happy couple on Instagram with the caption, “Congratulations to the glowing bride and groom.”

In related news, Brinkley and her daughter with Joel, Alexa Ray Joel, enjoyed a meal at Cittanuova in East Hampton last week.

Andi Dorfman, star of last season’s The Bachelorette on ABC, spent July 4th weekend out here. The former attorney wished her Twitter followers a happy holiday from Montauk.

Rapper Ja Rule headlined a Herculean Hamptons party that raged out of control at actor Kevin Sorbo’s Sag Harbor house over Fourth of July weekend. Things got crazy, but they managed to earn a $30,000 donation for Last Chance Animal Rescue.

North Fork musician and two-time Grammy nominee Brady Rymer performed with the Little Band that Could during Riverhead’s riverfront fireworks spectacular last Friday night.

Sag Harbor Village was THE place to be for July 4, if you could get close enough to enjoy it. The village was crowded, but “good crowded.” Yes, that was Matt Lauer walking among the tourists on Main Street.

Amagansett’s Scarlett Johansson may again play the title role in a sequel to Lucy, the popular sci-fi film that earned $458 million globally in 2014. Director Luc Besson’s production company announced plans for a sequel during a CineEurope convention in Barcelona, Spain last week.
