Ja Rule Parties at Kevin Sorbo's Hamptons House
Ja Rule headlined a Herculean Hamptons party that raged out of control at actor Kevin Sorbo’s Sag Harbor house over Fourth of July weekend. The actor, who played the lead in “Hercules” on TV, and owns multiple homes in the Hamptons was not at the party. A source reports exclusively to DansPapers.com that the party was in fact the 3rd annual Sprayathon and included “little people dressed as Uncle Sam, Zorbs, [and] puppy petting zoo.” The carnival atmosphere, complete with scantly-clad stilt walking shot girls, began early on Saturday and came to a crashing halt around 3pm when the Bridgehampton Fire Department was called to the scene for a brush fire and to assist two guests with possible alcohol overdose.
“Too bad that some idiot flicked a lit cigarette into the brush,” says the source who asked to remain anonymous. “Only took a couple minutes to put it out but it definitely ended the party sooner than anyone anticipated. I think calling the fire department was overkill but I respect the party planners for keeping us all safe.”
Prior to the police and fire excitement, over 1200 revelers enjoyed a bounce house, cooled off in the pool and dunk tank, and were treated to performances by Ja Rule, who showed off his fantastic physique as he sprayed jeroboams of Altaneve prosecco off the balcony, and DJ sets by Traviswild, LoFi, and M-Rack. We also hear that there was an altruistic angle to this wild bash with an “Animal House” theme, Last Chance Animal Rescue received a $30,000 donation. Guess that explains the puppy petting zoo.
