Katie Lee's Hamptons Home On The Market
Word on the street is that Food Network host of The Kitchen and cookbook author, Katie Lee, has put her Water Mill home on the market as she searches for a smaller bungalow in the Hamptons more suited to her busy travel schedule. Lee told the Wall Street Journal, “I have always enjoyed the process of renovating and decorating and I’m ready for my next project.”
The avid surfer, and repeat host of Dan’s Taste of Two Forks, shows off her Nate Berkus-decorated home often on her @KatieLeeKitchen Instagram feed so we know that the home features a fab pool, pizza oven, and full outdoor living space perfect for relaxing with friends and family in grand style. When it comes to the 6,325 square foot shingle home on 2 acres, by the numbers there are 6-bedroom, 7.5 bathrooms, 10-foot high ceilings, 3 fireplaces, stainless steel chef’s kitchen (naturally), and 3 ovens in addition to a butler’s pantry, double height foyer, library, formal dining room, wine cellar, and firepit.
Records show that Lee purchased the home in 2011 for $3.9M after she split with Billy Joel. The home is listed for $6.5M with Cindy Shea of Sotheby’s International Real Estate who tells DansPapers.com that Lee’s home is “a very special house…meant for entertaining.” Shea, who has known Lee for some time now, says that this one might go quickly, “It just went on the market today and I already have showings lined up.”
