Piper Perabo to Star in Bay Street Theater's "Twelfth Night"
Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced that Piper Perabo will star in the Bay Street Shakespeare Initiative and Hamptons Shakespeare Festival’s outdoor reading of Twelfth Night, Or What You Will on August 14 and 15. Perabo read the part of Viola in the free outdoor presentations at Mashashimuet Park in Sag Harbor.
The Golden Globe-nominated actress recently wrapped a five-season run on USA Network’s spy drama Covert Affairs. Perabo is also known for films like The Prestige (which starred East Ender Hugh Jackman), Because I Said So, Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Looper, among others. She made her stage debut in 2009 in Reasons to be Pretty, opposite Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski and Pablo Schreiber.
Twelfth Night, Or What You Will is the second production under the Bay Street Shakespeare Initiative, following last year’s reading of The Tempest, which starred John Glover. In addition to the two public readings, a VIP performance will be held at a private estate. For pricing and more information, go to baystreet.org.
