CfAR Presents 'Finding Nemo' at Maidstone Park Ball Field
The annual outdoor family movie-night organized by Citizens for Access Rights (CfAR) and Hamptons Drive-in will return on Thursday, August 20.
This summer’s featured film will be the computer animated movie Finding Nemo produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures.
The comedy-drama adventure film presents the story of an overprotective parent clownfish Marlin who watches his son, Nemo, get kidnapped. With the help of his new acquaintance, Dory, Marlin traverses the ocean to recover his son and learns the importance of allowing his son the freedom to take care of himself.
This heart-warming and humorous film will be shown at Maidstone Park Ball Field (Maidstone Park Road, East Hampton) at 8:30 p.m. Gates will open at 7:30 p.m.
Cost for attendance is $5 for nonmembers and free for 2015 CfAR members.
Outside food and beverages will not be permitted. Snacks and refreshments are available for purchase and CfAR apparel can also be bought at the event.
All guests are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets to relax while watching the movie.
CfAR is a group of East End inhabitants who support open access to local beaches. They work to protect the rights of residents to stroll, swim, fish, shellfish, surf and, overall, enjoy the beaches that private individuals have been trying to claim as their own.
The proceeds will be put toward CfAR to protect beach access on the East End, as well as to defend the current lawsuit that is affecting the stretch of beach in Napeague.
