Chef Marc Murphy: Food Network Beach Party At Marc's Hamptons House!
“Maybe we can get Food Network to set up a few cameras next summer,” said Food Network star and chef Marc Murphy about his Hamptons home during East Hampton Library’s Author’s Night as he signed copies of his new book, Season With Authority.
For anyone following the noted chef, and Dan’s Papers GrillHampton co-host, on Instagram it seems like Murphy has been hosting a culinary summer camp at his beachfront estate. Food Network luminaries including chefs Anne Burrell, Geoffrey Zakarian (who will host Dan’s Harvest East End on August 22 at McCall Vineyard in Cutchogue), Robert Irvine (co-host with Murphy of Dan’s GrillHampton), Alex Guarnaschelli, and Scott Conant have all been over for backyard barbeques and clambakes at Murphy’s never-ending pool party.
Murphy did flips into the pool on a huge pink flamingo with former Royal Navy man Irvine before hosting Dan’s GrillHampton. He grilled greens with Zakarian after a culinary trip to China. Pigged out at Topping Rose in Bridgehampton. And chillaxed at Sunset Beach on a Thirsty Thursday on Shelter Island with Burrell. Murphy joked with DansPapers.com that his home “is the ultimate reality show with all my friends over cooking and having a blast.”
