Steven Spielberg, Michael J. Fox to Appear in 'Back in Time' Documentary
Quogue’s Michael J. Fox will appear in the upcoming documentary Back in Time, which reflects on the legacy of the Back to the Future trilogy, and it was just announced—during a Back to the Future screening at Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center on July 31—that East Hampton’s Steven Spielberg agreed to be an interview subject as well.
Fox starred as time-traveling teen Marty McFly in the 1985 film and subsequent sequels. Many actors from the trilogy, including Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson, are part of the documentary, as well as writer/director Robert Zemeckis and writer Bob Gale. Spielberg was an executive producer.
Back in Time director Jason Aron and producer Lee Leshen presented clips from their documentary and participated in a Q&A with Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center’s Andrew Botsford about how the film came together.
Back in Time is slated to be released October 21, 2015, the date that Marty arrives in the future in Back to the Future Part II.
