Showtime Drama 'Billions' Films in the Hamptons Again
Upcoming Showtime drama Billions has returned to the Hamptons to film more scenes before the January 2016 premiere.
Cast and crew are staying at the Southampton Inn during filming, which may have run into complications with the rainy days of late. Yellow signs reading BLNS nailed to utility poles point to shooting locations or staging areas.
Mainly set in New York city, the show stars Paul Giamatti (John Adams, Sideways) as a U.S. attorney in pursuit of Wall Street corruption. Damian Lewis (Homeland) plays a hedge funder with questionable ethics.
Parts of the pilot episode were shot out here over the winter. The show has since been picked up for a season and has gone into full production.
Giamatti was a featured guest at the Hamptons International Film Festival in 2010 when his film Barney’s Version, for which he won a Golden Globe for Best Actor, opened the festival.
Lewis rented a Westhampton Beach house on Aspatuck Road this past August.
The cast of Billions also includes Maggie Siff (Sons of Anarchy), Malin Åkerman (Trophy Wife, Sin City Saints), Toby Leonard Moore (Daredevil), David Costabile (Breaking Bad), and Condola Rashad.
