Jimmy Fallon Injures Hand Long Before He Could Drink
On Friday, the eve of Halloween, Tonight Show host and Sagaponack resident Jimmy Fallon posted a “Throwback Halloween” photo on Instagram that proves he’s he’s no stranger to hand injuries. Perhaps he’s just clumsy and not the falling down drunk some make him out to be.
For those not in the know, Fallon seems to be busting up his hilarious hands regularly these days, and on Sunday, Page Six reported that NBC is beginning to worry about their popular late-night funnyman and his hard partying ways.
In July, Fallon tripped and caught his wedding ring on a table, injuring a finger on his left hand so seriously it required microsurgery and 10 days in the ICU. In August, he fell and chipped a tooth opening a bottle of scar tissue cream to treat his hurt finger. And then, while accepting the Elmer Award at the Harvard Lampoon in Cambridge, Massachusetts last week, he fell and cut a finger on his right hand with broken glass from the bottle of Jagermeister he was holding during the fall.
Fortunately the latest injury was “Nothing that a few band aids couldn’t fix,” Fallon assured fans on Instagram. Three days later, Fallon posted a shot of his much younger self dressed as Pee Wee Herman, and it’s very clear from the picture and his bandaged thumb that he was hurting his hands way back then. Fallon points out this fact in his caption: “#TBH Throwback Halloween. Me as Pee Wee. (Notice the bandaged finger. Some things never change.)”
