Jimmy Fallon Shouts Out Claudio's During Greenport Visit
Sagaponack’s Jimmy Fallon continues his reign as the best celebrity visitor on the East End this week with a shoutout to Claudio’s in Greenport.
The Tonight Show host enjoyed clam chowder for lunch with his wife Nancy Juvonen and their two daughters at America’s oldest same-family owned restaurant on Sunday and, as he’s done for Fellingham’s in Southampton and Hammer Towing in Wainscott, he shouted out the restaurant to his 4.2 million @jimmyfallon Instagram followers and 31 million Twitter followers some time during or right after the meal.
Fallon’s post features a photo of the Claudio’s menu, which includes the restaurant’s name and lobster logo, along with the caption: “Thank you Claudio’s in Greenport!! Best chowder, best people. #familyowned.” The image had 43,100 likes on Instagram as of 11 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Claudio’s thanked Fallon for the massive exposure in their newsletter on Tuesday, writing, “Join us on Instagram… Jimmy Fallon did! We would like to give a shout out and thank Jimmy Fallon, who enjoyed lunch at Claudio’s Restaurant on Sunday and posted on Instagram.” Along with the note of thanks, Claudio’s posted an Instagram shot of Fallon with noah’s employee Amy Secaida while he was in Greenport, posing for pictures with fans on Front Street.
Fallon, who has been nothing but kind and generous with fans when he’s out and about on the East End, also posed for a shot with Chef Brian Szostak from noah’s restaurant.

Claudio’s has closed their Claudio’s Clam Bar for the season, but they will host a prix fixe fall menu at the restaurant during the Long Island Wine Council and East End Tourism Alliance “Taste North Fork Shuttle Weekends,” on Saturday, November 7 and Saturday, November 14.
