Kelly Klein Signs New Book at Harbor Books Saturday, Nov. 14

Hamptons fashion designer and photographer Kelly Klein is signing copies of her new book, Photographs by Kelly Klein (Rizzoli), at Harbor Books in Sag Harbor next Saturday, November 14.

After 25 years in the fashion industry, Klein turned her attention to photography and began a career that crosses over into fashion and art as she documents with her lens the people and tastes that intrigue her.

Edited by Klein herself, who is an icon of classic American style and the former wife of Calvin Klein, Photographs by Kelly Klein is a stunning collection from her rich and varied canon of work. The images in the book juxtapose the photographer’s contrasting styles while also revealing a consistent sensibility—seemingly effortless pictures that reflect Klein’s natural translation of beauty.

From haunting still life and profound landscapes to glamorous candid snapshots and sophisticated fashion features, Klein’s photography represents a clear and seductive distillation of the talents and interests that have fueled her career in fashion and design. And her unique eye and point of view are present throughout—an icon of style lending a touch of her own vision to everything she photographs.

The photographs span Klein’s entire career thus far and include personal shots, intimate portraiture and editorial work commissioned for magazines such as Vogue and Vanity Fair.
