Michael J. Fox Takes a Ride in Garbage-Fueled Toyota Mirai

Quogue resident Michael J. Fox and his Back to the Future co-star Christopher Lloyd star in new commercials for a garbage-fueled Toyota—much like the Mr. Fusion that powers the Delorean at the end of the film.
But rather than nuclear, the Toyota Mirai is electrical. It uses hydrogen fuel cells that get their power from biogas released by landfills.
The Mirai officially went on sale in California on October 21, 2015, the date that Marty McFly (Fox) arrives in the future in Back to the Future Part II.
Also among the recent observances of the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future, Fox and Lloyd appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, in character, to express their disappointment in 2015 and its lack of hover-boards.
