Southampton Parade of Lights and Christmas Tree Lighting Are Saturday

Southampton Village will kick off the holiday season on Saturday with a number of events, including the Parade of Lights and the lighting of the tree in Agawam Park.

Festivities begin at 12:30 p.m. with horse and buggy rides sponsored by the Southampton Chamber of Commerce at Southampton Arts Center, 25 Jobs Lane. Rides will be offered through 3:30 p.m.

The Parade of Lights, a decorated firetruck parade, begins at 4:30 p.m. The parade will go up Windmill Lane, around the village, and down to Agawam Park.

The Christmas tree lighting is at 5:15 featuring caroling by Voices of Southampton (VOSH) and Men of Southampton (MOSH). A reception will follow at Southampton Cultural Center, 25 Pond Lane, with refreshments and the opportunity to meet Santa Claus.
