Flanders Big Duck Lighting Is Wednesday

Flanders’ annual tradition of decorating the famed Big Duck for the holidays continues this Wednesday, December 2, as the community gathers for the duck lighting ceremony.

The Riverhead Middle School Show Choir perform. Santa Claus will visit, escorted by the Flanders Fire Department, and the Long Island Ducks mascot Quaker Jack will also be on hand.

The event is sponsored by Friends of the Big Duck.

The National Register of Historic Places site is located at Route 24 in Flanders. The ceremony begins at 7 p.m.
