Gurney's Montauk Owners Purchase Neighbor Panoramic View

The owners of Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa have added the neighboring property, Panoramic View Resort & Residences, to their portfolio.

The purchase was made under the auspices of limited liability company Panoramic Partners, an affiliate of Lloyd Goldman’s BLDG MGMT and George Filopoulos‘s Metrovest. BLDG Mgmt and Metrovest have owned Gurney’s since 2013 and are in the third phase of a multi-year renovation of the property.

“The transaction involved the unsold units at Panoramic being purchased by a couple of the investors, who also own an interest in Gurney’s Montauk. As such the projects will remain separate,” Filopoulos said. “We are planning some enhancements and expect marketing of the previously completed homes to take place sometime in the spring. We look forward to prospective purchasers joining the existing owners at this one-of-a-kind lifestyle property.”

Panoramic View was previously owned by Brian Callahan and Adam Manson. Callahan and Manson pleaded guilty last year to a Ponzi scheme that involved, among other misappropriations, buying Panoramic View and propping it up with their clients’ cash.
