Hampton Bays Basketball Star Alexis Fotopoulos Makes History

History was made on Thursday, December 3, when Hampton Bays High School senior Alexis Fotopoulos became the all-time leading point scorer for the Hampton Bays girls basketball program.
Fotopoulos earned the distinction during a game against McGann-Mercy when she scored 33 points, bringing her total points scored in her career to 1,717. Andrea Dwyer, a 1988 graduate, previously held the lead scoring title with 1,716 points.
Fotopoulos, who has been playing basketball since kindergarten, will continue playing the sport in college next fall. Recently, she penned her name to a National Letter of Intent with Adelphi University.
