Howard Stern Inks New Contract with SiriusXM
Southampton’s Howard Stern has a new deal with SiriusXM that will keep him on the satellite radio network for another five years as the host and producer of The Howard Stern Show.
An additional 12-year agreement for Stern’s audio and video archives spanning his 30-year career will allow for re-broadcast plus on-demand streaming. SiriusXM will make its first foray into video, including live video of The Howard Stern Show, special programming and a video app.
“As a broadcaster, it does not get any better than working at SiriusXM and I’m truly excited for the future with this great company,” Stern says. “I happen to think that its best days are ahead.”
The deal also includes keeping Stern’s sidekick Robin Quivers and writer Fred Norris on air with Stern for five years.
Stern joined Sirius in 2006 after a long career on terrestrial radio.
