Riverhead Chamber Announces New Board Members
The Riverhead Chamber of Commerce has announced the Board of Directors and Executive Board for 2016.
Members of the Chamber of Commerce gathered for the Annual Membership Meeting at Pure North Fork on December 10. The annual meeting was officiated by Board President Brian Curtin as members of the Board of Directors were voted in for three-year terms. Returning members of the board are Tracy Stark James of Riverhead IDA and Tom Lennon of Pine Barrens Printing. New to the Board of Directors, the membership voted in Scott Behr of M&T Bank, Christiana Bitonti of Peconic Ballet Theater and John McGuigan of Aid to the Developmentally Disabled. Outgoing board members include Monique Gablenz of Stony Brook University’s Calverton Incubator, Pat Snyder of East End Arts, Ray Maynard of Skydive Long Island and Stan Picheny of Peconic City Properties.
The new Chamber Board then elected its 2016 Executive Board at a meeting of the Board of Directors on December 17. Bob Kern was selected to preside as the new president of the Board of Directors. He replaces Curtin, who will now remain on the Executive Board as immediate past president. Dave Bergen was selected to as first vice president and Ike Isreal was selected to remain in his position as 2nd vice president. Tom Lennon will take over duties as the treasurer, formerly held by Snyder. The position of secretary remains with Clete Galasso.
