Sagaponack resident Jimmy Fallon and his trusty announcer Steve Higgins faced off against Hamptons visitor Hugh Jackman and his Eddie the Eagle costar Taron Egerton in a very intense game of Catchphrase on on Monday night’s episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
While Jackman and Egerton appeared on The Tonight Show to promote Eddie the Eagle, their new film about British everyman turned Olympic ski jumper Eddie Edwards, Fallon couldn’t let them leave without some hijinks—this time playing the show’s favorite party game, Catchphrase.
For those who don’t know it, Catchphrase is played like 64,000 Pyramid, with players trying to get their partner to say a phrase without using the words in it.
The action quickly turned intense and got really wild by the final round when Jackman attempted to act out the phrase “go with the flow” for Egerton—to which the Kingsmen star guessed “orgasm” at one point during his partner’s vague gesticulations. Other highlights included Fallon’s dead-on impression of Nicholas Cage and Jackman’s Sean Connery as James Bond impression after Egerton led him toward the phrase “shaken, not stirred.”
In the end, Fallon and Higgins won it for the home team.
