Joy Behar Lists Hamptons Home But She's Not Leaving Town
East End funny lady Joy Behar has just put her East Hampton home on the market.
The comedian bought the 4,000-square-foot abode back in 2012 for $2.875 million, and now has listed it with Sotheby’s International Realty for almost $4 million.
A quaint piece of real estate in the heart of the vast fields and farmland of East Hampton, the home rests on a plot just under an acre, but offers a number of cozy features that fit perfectly within the landscape.
The two-story house includes marble countertops, stainless steel kitchen fixtures, French kitchen doors, 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. Stylistically, the house also has in its great room a gorgeous vaulted ceiling, complete with windows that allow ample light into the whole ground level.
The backyard features multiple terraces, one with a fireplace, a Gunite pool and a spacious yard. Next to the house is a separate two-car garage. It is also located close to the beach and the bay, and East Hampton Village, and it’s a short drive to the Sag Harbor ferry if one feels like a day trip to Shelter Island or the North Fork.
Behar’s brokers say she isn’t leaving the Hamptons, so it appears she’s once again relocating to another summer home. She upgraded to this East Hampton house after selling her Sagaponack pad in early 2012.
Meanwhile, Behar still lives in New York City and is back as a regular on The View after a two-year leave. She also hosts a late night talk show, Late Night Joy, which premiered on TLC back in November of 2015. She films Late Night Joy in her own NYC apartment.
