'Royal Pains' Looks Back with 90s Style Rap Video
USA Network has announced that the upcoming eighth season of Hamptons-set medical drama Royal Pains will be its last. The show, which actually films in the Hamptons and other areas of Long Island, stars Mark Feuerstein as Hank, a concierge doctor who treats and mingles with wealthy locals and vacationers.
Leading up to the Royal Pains final season, USA has released a video featuring Feuerstein singing a rap—gold chains and all—to remind fans what’s happened in the past seven seasons, and to get new viewers caught up if they’re late to the party. Shot in the Hamptons and featuring some fly dance moves by Paulo Costanzo, who plays Hank’s brother Evan, “That’s a Rap” is a perfect sendup to 1990s rap music. It does a pretty good job with filling in key details from the last seven years, too. And if you listen carefully, you’ll catch a very clear Beastie Boys vibe throughout Feuerstein’s vocals.
Speaking of music, the upcoming Season 8 will reportedly feature a musical episode featuring Hamptons regular Christine Ebersole.
Royal Pains begins its eight-episode final season on Wednesday, May 18 at 10 p.m. on USA.
