On Monday, March 7, Peconic Bay Medical Center erected a giant inflatable colon in the building to recognize March as Colorectal Awareness Month. Medical experts provided tours of the giant colon—complete with polyps and other growths and blemishes—and talked about prevention, symptoms and treatment of colorectal cancer.
