Alec Baldwin to Host 'Match Game' on ABC
Stop the blank presses! East Hampton’s Alec Baldwin will host ABC’s upcoming reboot of Match Game. The game show will air Sunday nights at 10 p.m. as part of ABC’s upcoming summer block “Sunday Fun & Games,” which will also include Celebrity Family Feud and The $100,000 Pyramid.
Match Game is a comedy-oriented show that features contestants trying to guess how a panel of celebrities will answer fill-in-the-blank questions. The show has had several incarnations over the years, with the most notable host being the late Gene Rayburn. While ABC hasn’t announced any celebrities yet, one would imagine some of Baldwin’s longtime scene partners and collaborators might appear. What are you up to on Sundays, Tina Fey?
Baldwin, who also serves as executive producer, will donate his “appearance fee” on the show to arts-related organizations through the Hilaria and Alec Baldwin Foundation.
