"Baby Daddy" Visits the Hamptons in Spring Finale

Another TV show is about to take a trip out east. Freeform’s (formerly ABC Family) sitcom Baby Daddy will take its characters to the Hamptons during tonight’s spring finale.

Currently in its fifth season, Baby Daddy tells the story of Ben (Jean-Luc Bilodeau), a single guy in his early 20s who gets an unexpected arrival on his doorstep: a baby he didn’t know he had from an ex-girlfriend. Ben is horrified at the prospect of having a kid, but comes to love taking care of his daughter with the help of roommate Tucker (Tahj Mowry), brother Danny (Derek Theler), mom Bonnie (Melissa Peterman) and best friend Riley (Chelsea Kane). This season has focused on a love triangle between Ben and two very different women, bar manager Sam (Daniella Monet) and fellow single parent Zoey (Jonna Walsh). The finale will see the cast take a weekend vacation to Sam’s summer house in the Hamptons, where there will reportedly be a huge twist ending.

Baby Daddy also has a connection to our dearly departed Revenge. Christa B. Allen, who played the drug-addled, slightly unhinged heiress Charlotte Grayson, recurred on Baby Daddy during its fourth season as Robyn, a love interest for Danny. We’re not sure the show will pull a deep cut and bring Robyn back as a nod to Revenge (the show ended last year and there’d be no synergy), but we’d love it!

There’s no word on whether or not Baby Daddy’s Hamptons scenes were filmed in the Hamptons, but since it’s a traditional sitcom that largely takes place indoors, the scenes will likely just take place in the summer house.

Sam invites Ben, Riley and Danny to the Hamptons for the weekend, leaving Ben confused as to whether he wants to be with Sam or Zoey. Riley finds some old home movies of everyone in high school, but she discovers more than a trip down memory lane. Meanwhile, Bonnie is convinced that Brad has moved on, so she also moves on with another guy (guest star Jonathan Silverman), however their evening does not turn out as planned. And Tucker is excited to finally have the apartment to himself.

Baby Daddy airs tonight (Wednesday, April 6) at 8 p.m. on Freeform.
