Dan’s Taste of Summer 2016 Kicks Off in July

Summer in the Hamptons means enjoying and indulging in the best of everything, and nothing captures that best-of-everything spirit like Dan’s Taste of Summer! The premier culinary events on the East End are returning this July and August, bigger and better than ever before. An impressive lineup of celebrity hosts, chefs and restaurants are gearing up for the most delectable summer in the Hamptons yet, and you’re invited!

For the first time ever, Dan’s Taste of Summer will comprise four events, perfect for ensuring that endless summer feeling: Dan’s GrillHampton (Friday, July 22), Dan’s Taste of Two Forks Presented by Farrell Building Co. (Saturday, July 23), Dan’s Harvest East End (Saturday, August 20), and, we are thrilled to announce, the all-new Dan’s ClambakeMTK at Gurney’s Montauk on Saturday, July 30, the ultimate seaside soirée that is not to be missed!

Every year, Dan’s Papers elevates the Taste of Summer experience, and 2016 heralds one of our biggest and most celebrated moves yet! This year, Dan’s GrillHampton and Dan’s Taste of Two Forks will have a brand new home—the beautiful Fairview Farm in Bridgehampton, right on the waters of Mecox Bay. A portion of this year’s ticket proceeds from both events will benefit All For The East End (AFTEE), a 501(c)(3) that showcases and provides support to the more than 1,000 charity organizations in the five East End towns.

DAN’S GRILLHAMPTON: GET FIRED UP!
Now in its fourth fabulous year, Dan’s GrillHampton has evolved into a true Who’s Who of grillmasters and will once again feature chefs from both NYC and the Hamptons battling in a cooking competition and tasting event like no other. As Team NYC and Team Hamptons vie for the Judges Award and People’s Choice honors on Friday, July 22, guests will sample an extraordinary variety of dishes and vote for their favorite grilled masterpiece. Enjoy savory grilled fare, beer and specialty cocktails while listening to live music by Dan’s Best of the Best winner New Life Crisis. Then be a part of the action as you cast your vote for the finest food of the night! Notable newcomers this year include Topping Rose House by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Shake Shack, First and South and Altamarea Group by Michael White. Dan’s GrillHampton will offer a new VIP component this year for ticket holders to access the event one hour before general admission.

Celebrating six years as the East End’s unparalleled food-and-wine event, Dan’s Taste of Two Forks continues to proudly shine a light on the abundance of both the North and South Forks, featuring top chefs, sips from the greatest winemakers and delectable bites from more than 40 of the finest local restaurants. Dan’s ClambakeMTK, the inaugural oceanfront food-and-drink festival at the legendary Gurney’s Seawater Resort & Spa, invites you to dive into an incredible surf and turf array from a gathering of top restaurants from Manhattan to Montauk. Celebrate the beach life and coastal cuisine that makes Montauk the hottest destination of the season.

RAISE A GLASS ON THE NORTH FORK AT DAN’S HARVEST EAST END
Wine connoisseurs, rejoice as the Long Island Wine Council gathers the top winemakers of the East End for Dan’s Harvest East End. The biggest celebration of Long Island wine anywhere showcases the creations of more than 40 East End winemakers paired with bites from some 30 top regional chefs and local purveyors, all amid the bucolic surroundings of McCall Vineyards and Ranch in Cutchogue. As with all Dan’s Taste of Summer events, a portion of ticket proceeds will go to support local charities.

Thrilled to return as host is celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian, culinary director of The Plaza, chef/owner of The Lambs Club, The National in Greenwich, and coming soon to Los Angeles, Georgie and The Garden Bar at Montage Beverly Hills. Zakarian, author of My Perfect Pantry, is celebrated for being an Iron Chef, judge on Food Network’s Chopped, host of Food Network’s Cooks vs. Cons and cohost of Food Network’s The Kitchen and Top 5 Restaurants.
