James Cordon Pranks Leonardo DiCaprio on Jennifer Lopez's Phone
Water Mill resident Jennifer Lopez recently accompanied The Late Late Show host James Corden to work in his latest “Carpool Karaoke” sketch, and the results were predictably hilarious. During the segment, Lopez and Corden sang some of the star’s latest hits, discussed the truth about a certain insurance plan she was rumored to have invested in and prank-texted Leonardo DiCaprio!
The popular “Carpool Karaoke” sketch of The Late Late Show features Corden in the driver’s seat with music icons in which they chat, joke around and sing. During the ride, Corden and Lopez went over her many nicknames, including J.Lo and Jenny from the Block, before breaking out into pitch-perfect (Cordon can sing!) renditions of Lopez’s songs “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” “Booty,” “Jenny From the Block” and “On the Floor.” Lopez also denied—good naturedly—that she’d had her notorious buttocks insured, a rumor that has persisted for years.
Things got really wacky when Lopez agreed to let Corden text the most famous person on her phone (DiCaprio was chosen). In a sidesplitting exchange, Corden texted DiCaprio: “Hey, baby, I’m kind of feeling like I need to cut loose. Any suggestions? Let me know. J. Lo (you know, from the block).” Lopez was so mortified—and laughing so hard—that her earring fell off.
The crazy segment concluded with DiCaprio responding: “You mean tonight boo boo? Club-wise?” Lopez said she’d be home cooking with her kids instead.
Lopez has been busy lately. Her hit cop drama Shades of Blue recently wrapped its first season, and she is a judge on the final season of American Idol.
