Food Network's Kids Baking Championship Seeking Talented Young Bakers for Season 3
If your child wants to be the next Julia Child, now’s their chance.
Food Network has announced casting for Season 3 of Kids Baking Championship, a contest in which talented bakers from 8–13 years old compete in fun challenges and “baking battles.” The champion will win money, a full baker’s kitchen and have their cake recreated at Charm City Cakes in Maryland.
Kids Baking Championship is hosted by Charm City Cakes owner Duff Goldman and actress Valerie Bertinelli. Goldman, who started cooking when he was 4 years old, is known for the Food Network series Ace of Cakes, as well as Cake Masters. Bertinelli is known for starring on One Day at a Time and Hot in Cleveland and has written One Dish at a Time and Losing It, Finding It: And Satisfying My Hunger for Life Without Opening the Fridge.
Center Moriches student Kayla Mitchell competed on MasterChef Junior, also on Food Network. Parents should visit bakingchampionship.com to apply for their kids.
