Matt Lauer Tells Hilarious Stories on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon
Two Hamptons celebrities walk into a room…
Water Mill resident Matt Lauer appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, where he and Sagaponack’s Jimmy Fallon told several hilarious stories.
“We were doing a story with a reporter on location in a flood,” Lauer says reluctantly after Fallon presses him to tell a certain story. “She’s in a canoe, paddling around to show how bad the flood was, and as she’s talking to us, these guys go walking right behind her in ankle-deep water!” Lauer recalls, as Fallon laughs. “Thank you for bringing that up,” Lauer says, not naming the reporter (it was Michelle Kosinski, and the video is hilarious).
Lauer went on to describe his recent trip to New Zealand on a fishing trip. “It’s the most sensational country on the planet,” Lauer says. While Lauer enjoyed his trip, he lamented the use of outhouses while staying in their cabin without electricity, admitting to being a germaphobe and “bathing in Purell.”
“Sounds like The Revenant or something,” says Fallon.
