Pierre's Restaurant Gives Back to the Sylvia Center
“Cheers for Charity!” Pierre’s Restaurant in Bridgehampton has declared.
The restaurant, owned by Chef Pierre Weber, will donate $10 for each $80 bottle sold, up to $10,000, of Pierre’s 2014 Private Label Blue Bottle Rosé to the Sylvia Center.
The special wine from Clos Beyless, Côtes de Provence is exciting as it is rare—who doesn’t love rosé, after all?—and giving to the Sylvia Center is a great act by Weber. The Sylvia Center’s mission statement is “to inspire young people and their families to eat well through hands-on learning experiences on the farm and in the kitchen.” Participants in their programs “learn what fresh food is, how delicious it tastes, and how to prepare nutritious meals on a daily basis.” Based in New York City and Kinderhook, NY, the Sylvia Center reaches 3,000 students, ages 7–20, every year.

In addition to Pierre’s generous donation, Weber recently taught Sylvia Center students how to cook his famous chocolate mousse. See the photos below, and be sure to check out the Sylvia Center for more information on how you can get involved.
